Gregg O. Coodley, MD, FACP; Founder and Chief Medical Officer
“FannoTek EMR actually makes my job easier, not harder. The system is user-friendly, efficient, and cost-effective.”
As a practicing physician and the Managing Partner of Fanno Creek Clinic, Gregg Coodley, MD knows first-hand the challenges of running a small- to medium-sized medical practice. His disappointment with the cost and excessive complexity of the big name EMR systems led him to take the bold step of pulling together a group of medical and technology experts to create a system that is customized to meet the needs of doctors. The result is FannoTek EMR. Unlike most EMRs, it is designed not for hospitals, but for small to medium sized medical practices.
Dr. Coodley obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1981 and his M.D. from the University of California at San Diego in 1985. He was an attending physician at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and an Associate Professor at the Oregon Health Sciences University. He served as Director, General Internal Medicine Clinic and Chief, Section of General Internal Medicine at OHSU before founding the Fanno Creek Clinic in 1997.
Dr. Coodley’s awards and certifications include:
• Marian L. Krippaehne Humanism Award, Oregon Health Sciences University, 1993
• Faculty Teaching Award, Oregon Health Sciences University, 1992
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine, 1988
• Summa Cum Laude/Phi Beta Kappa, University of Pennsylvania, 1981
Dr. Coodley is an active teacher and mentor. He has been a preceptor for minority high school students in a summer research apprenticeship program; a lecturer on HIV/AIDS-Related Illnesses; a preceptor for the Patient Evaluation (MSII) course; and an attending physician at an internal medicine outpatient clinic and inpatient service.
