Mark Hasson is a certified IT Process Design Engineer (CPDE) professional with over 20 years of partnering with healthcare clients and professionals to deliver results-based transformations in quality, performance improvement, efficiency and effectiveness. Mark’s has broad based experience in managing projects, IT enablement and designing processes for information technology, healthcare, marketing IT, finance, EMR, revenue cycle and manufacturing. As an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt he has consulted to and worked for major healthcare organizations during the past the 7 years managing enterprise process improvement projects requiring IT enablement. Using world-class methodologies such as ITIL, Six Sigma and Lean collectively with accelerated change management and defined process design models, Mark optimizes healthcare process and tool (technology) performance, quality and sustainability.
Mark has taught process improvement at Providence Health and Services and is presently teaching business, marketing and strategic business decision making at Portland State University as an adjunct professor for over past 7 years.
Although Mark now lives in Portland, Oregon, he has deep family ties to the Seattle area and comes from a long line of Huskies, earning his B.A. and MBA from the University of Washington.
Mark is an instructor for Healthcare Informatics at Bellevue College. His deep passion for learning and his focus on amplifying things that do work, has taught Mark that we all can, and must, learn to lead. He believes that with a little discipline, any leader, mentor or instructor can inspire others to be better than ourselves.
